Each chapter of CONTEMPORARY PROJECT MANAGEMENT begins with a listing of the most important points you'll need to learn, and all materials, including end-of-chapter questions and problems and test questions, have been developed to correlate to a specific objective. In addition, all PMBOK Guide knowledge areas and processes are specifically included, and glossary definitions are from the PMBOK Guide. This consistency with the established standard gives you a leg up if you decide to become a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Microsoft Project 2007 is fully integrated into the fabric of seven chapters within the text, and techniques are demonstrated in both a by-hand fashion and automated using Microsoft Project 2007, helping you grasp the concepts behind the technique. One section at the end of each chapter lists deliverables for you to create (in teams or individually) for a real project. Clean copies of all deliverables will help you demonstrate your project skills in job interviews. CONTEMPORARY PROJECT MANAGEMENT includes proven methods developed over the past 50 years, as well as exciting new methods that are emerging from both industry and research.

3Not a good download for Kindle  Oct 04, 2011 By Sheila
This was for a class I was taking. While I can read it very well, I found the graphs and exhibits to very difficult to read and use. I ended up having to purchase the book so I could actively discuss the contents on the graphs. Very disappointing. I thought I would be saving money but ended up spending more.

4Intro to Project Management  Apr 15, 2011 By Scarlett Moon
This was purchased for the above mentioned College Course. Very easy read, straightforward compared with other textbooks. After a search of the PMI (Project Management Institute) website, I realize that this is definitely an introductory text and would not be a complete version of study materials for certification. Includes a trial of MS Project 2007 and a student CD.

5Exellent Book  Oct 30, 2010 By PM books reader
This book is easy to read and follow. If you are looking for an overview of project management that its between a high level book and a detail one this one its the deal.

4Project Management  Mar 18, 2012 By Bill
The book combines the topic of Project management with the use of the MS Project software. At times, the author would have you think that if you can schedule projects in MS Project, that is all there is to being a project manager. I think more concrete examples would help with the subject matter.

5Surprisingly Informative  Feb 17, 2012 By hobanmatt
Using this as required text for a class I'm taking online for my Masters in Engineering Management. I am pleasantly surprised with the quality fo this book. It comes with the 60-day trial disk of MS Project, which is nice. I have many years experience in project management, but this book gives me so much more information and also skills for large scale project management.
